About MAXRES
MAXRES is an artistic research program developed by Koynē in collaboration with residencies and cultural institutions across different geographical contexts.This year the program is focused in explore the relationships between bio-based materials, post-industrial residues and recycled technologies. Through the perspectives of multinaturalism and technodiversity, MAXRES considers how different material and technological practices emerge from specific ecological, cultural and geographical conditions. It encourages artists to engage with local environments, multispecies interdependencies and the material traces of industrial activity.
MAXRES provides methodological guidance, curatorial and technical support, production materials and opportunities for experimentation. By facilitating access to material samples, practical knowledge and reliable production methods, the program supports artistic processes that combine conceptual inquiry with the transformations required by material practice.
