Currently based in Helsinki, Finland, Renzo directs the Koynē Program under the Arcaica Association, an initiative that fosters artistic exchange and research into sustainable materials and technological changes. His practice explores the relationships between living systems, cultural narratives, and emerging technologies, aiming to redefine our connection to the environment through artistic creation. His practice spans over two decades, with contributions in immersive and interactive art forms. He has collaborated on projects such as the South-North Circuit, which bridges cultural contexts through local weaving techniques, biomaterials and digital media, and the MAXRES Residency, where artists experiment with bio-based materials and cybernetic technologies. His body of work includes video mapping, interactive installations, and VR experiences, often integrating biomaterials like bacterial cellulose, mycelium and natural waste. His work is inspired by the idea of a coexistence of multiple technological systems resulting from an ecosystem of multiple ontologies.
